You need a fire risk assessment if...

• you are an employer or self-employed with business premises
• you are responsible for a part of a business dwelling 
• you are a charity or voluntary organisation
• you are a contractor with a degree of control over any premises

Fire Door Inspections

Following on from the Grenfell Inquiry (Phase 1) and the Fire Safety Regulations 2022, it is recommended that frequent checks are carried out to all fire doors within residential buildings to ensure that doors are maintained as fit for purpose throughout the lifespan of a building. The responsible person should conduct: 
• quarterly checks for all fire doors in the common parts
• annual checks on all flat entrance doors that lead onto a building’s  common parts
